Last Minute Halloween Snack Mix

XO Marshmallow last minute halloween snack mix

Halloween is this weekend! And if you're anything like us, you've put off finalizing everything for your Halloween plans until the last minute. You're throwing together a cute costume with clothes you already have in your closet, and you're scrambling to find something to bring to your friend's get together.

It might be spooky season, but have no fear! We've created an easy last minute Halloween snack mix that's perfect for any spooky soiree.

Ingredients:

  • Cookies and Cream Marshmallows (can we swapped for another flavor)

  • Popcorn

  • Candy Corn

  • Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (or chocolate chips if you can't do peanut butter)

  • Edible Googly Eyes

  • White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

  • Orange Candy Melts/White Chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Take your marshmallows and cut them up into quarters to create smaller, mini marshmallows.

  2. Take your popcorn, candy corn, mini peanut butter cups, pretzels, and marshmallows and mix them up in a bowl. We chose to use a trick-or-treat pumpkin for a more festive look, but a regular bowl works too.

  3. Melt your candy melts in a separate bowl using the instructions on the candy melt bag (an alternative option is to melt white chocolate and mix it with orange food coloring)

  4. Once your chocolate is melted, use a spoon to drizzle it over the mix. Feel free to get a little messy!

  5. While the chocolate is still melted, add edible googly eyes to the mix using the chocolate to help them stick. Once the chocolate hardens, you won't be able to get the eyes to stick, so have them ready to do this quickly.

  6.  Head to your party and get ready to have everyone ask you for the recipe!
